Live in Art offers a relaxed and unintimidating way to view, buy and experience French contemporary art and sculpture within a ‘living’ environment. This new venture from art historian and collector Kit Bentley uses private residences, hotels and restaurants, as well as traditional exhibition space, to showcase new and existing artistic talent and aims to make owning art more affordable with its Live in Art Club.
Villa Shambhala, a beautiful holiday rental property on the banks of the Dordogne in South West France, is Live in Art’s first permanent ‘living gallery’ space hung with original works of art by French contemporary artists. The property also features a stand-alone gallery space within its grounds and a purpose built art studio, which will offer a series of residential art courses with French artist Eric Bourse in 2014.
Other temporary Live in Art venues have included Pound, West Clandon, Surrey; Chalet de la Frasse, Haute-Savoie, French Alps; Hotel Les Servages d’Armelle, Haute-Savoie, French Alps.
Kit, who previously ran specialist art agency Summers Art also continues to welcomes art consultation enquiries from private collectors and the corporate sector to create tailored collections and will advise on integrating contemporary art into existing collections or historic homes.
